A Night in Brasil

Last night was fun. Good talk and good company. My "partner in crime" Poom and I got there a little early--moved a couple of tables together next to the window seat--and we were set! Had fun with Bob B. re etymology of various monetary terms. Speaking of which, more on using "fin" as slang for a five dollar bill: Fin actually comes from the Yiddish word finif, meaning "five". Finif, in turn, derives from the German word fünf, meaning "five".*
