Some of you may already be planning to attend the TLA District 8 Conference, which is scheduled for Saturday, Oct. 18, from 8 a.m.-2 p.m. at the San Jacinto College Central campus in Pasadena. If so, here's a reminder to make sure you've registered online or by mail.
If not, you might want to consider attending. In addition to the program of speakers and breakout sessions on topics of interest to library professionals, it's also a good chance to meet and network with some of our local and regional colleagues, and to tour the library at one of the area's main community colleges.
The registration for students is $20, and for non-student TLA members it's $30, or for non-members, $40. And that includes breakfast and lunch! A great deal for this professional development opportunity.
