SCC/MLA Mayo Drake Student Scholarship Call for Applicants


South Central Chapter of the Medical Library Association, Mayo Drake Student Scholarship
To all students enrolled in a library/information studies graduate program:
Want to learn more about becoming a health sciences librarian? Consider applying for the Medical Library Association, South Central Chapter’s Mayo Drake Scholarship. The South Central Chapter of the Medical Library Association (SCC/MLA) includes members from Arkansas, Louisiana, New Mexico, Oklahoma, and Texas. Our mission is to foster the art and science of health sciences library services. For more information about the association, visit http://sccmla.org/
The Mayo Drake Scholarship includes 1) a free student registration to attend the SCC/MLA annual meeting, 2) a ticket to attend the SCC business luncheon during the meeting, 3) and a complimentary Continuing Education course.
This year, the annual meeting will be held October 12 -16, 2014 in Denver, CO, in conjunction with four other MLA sections as the 2014 Quint Chapter Meeting. The meeting’s theme is Quint Essential: Convergence & Collaboration.
The application for the Mayo Drake Scholarship is attached and includes qualifications and submission details. Deadline for application submission is July 1, 2014. Completed applications can be submitted to the Awards & Scholarships Committee via april-schweikhard@ouhsc.edu.
