Registration will start at 8:30 a.m. with
lunch at noon.
Theme: “Digital Futures: The 21st Century
Library”
This will be an
exciting event featuring presentations from the following guest speakers:
1. Santi
Thompson, Head of Digital Repository Services, University Libraries, University
of Houston
2. Ricardo
Peralez, Assistant Director, Digital Strategies, Houston Public Library
3. Elaine
Patton & Christine Forisha, Reference Librarians, Lone Star
College-University Park
Plus, a special
panel discussion on “Digital Futures” and the place of digital media, digital
libraries & collections, and digital humanities projects in the library
and information profession.
And, as always,
the event will feature a complimentary lunch, door prizes, and an opportunity
to meet and talk with fellow library and information sciences professionals.
Also, Dr. Ana Cleveland will be available for advising.
