LIBRARY SPACE: Evolving the way we use physical and virtual spaces

Rice University will be hosting the "LIBRARY SPACE: Evolving the way we use physical and virtual spaces" forum Thursday, July 14th, 2011. For more information and to register, please visit: http://resource.library.tmc.edu/forum/index.php

The following is a description from the website:

Topics will include a wide variety of issues such as:
- remote storage facilities
- centralized service desks
- eBooks
- cloud computing

We will have a keynote speech, informal round tables, and a panel discussion with representatives from academic, public, special, and K-12 libraries. After the Forum we are offering tours of several nearby libraries.

The event will be at Rice University’s Duncan Hall and this year we have individual classrooms for each of the round-table discussion groups. It will be a great opportunity to meet colleagues from other Houston-area libraries and learn about some of the most challenging issues facing our profession today.
