Free Workshop | (ACRL), “Scholarly Communication: From Understanding to Engagement”
The Baylor University Libraries, in partnership with the libraries of Southern Methodist University and McLennan Community College, invite you to attend a free workshop from the Association of College and Research Libraries (ACRL), “Scholarly Communication: From Understanding to Engagement” on May 2, 2014, at Baylor University.
This day-long workshop will provide a structured, interactive overview of scholarly communication issues, focusing on the themes of access, emerging opportunities, intellectual property, and engagement.
The workshop will be led by Stephanie Davis-Kahl, Scholarly Communications Librarian and Associate Professor, Illinois Wesleyan University; and Kevin Smith, Director, Office on Copyright and Scholarly Communications, Duke University.
Registration for the workshop is FREE, but space is limited. Register at this link by April 2 for priority registration. Registration will remain open until April 16 on a space-available basis.
Arrival and check-in on the day of the workshop will begin at 8:30 a.m. The program will begin at 9:30 a.m. and will end at approximately 4:30 p.m. Light breakfast, lunch and snacks will be provided to participants at no cost.
